Business Development Intern – Campus Programs

International Sports and Music Project

The International Sports and Music Project works to connect and uplift children around the world through sports and music. We work with local partners at orphanages, shelters and schools to provide sports and music instruction for children living in vulnerable communities. Our programs provide children with confidence, camaraderie, mentorship, self-motivation, an opportunity to express themselves, and much more.

The Business Development – Campus Programs Intern will plan a college campus marketing/fundraising campaign, which culminates in planning an event to raise money for one of ISMP’s programs of your choosing.

INTERN WILL LEARN AND BE EXPOSED TO:

  • Real world fundraising strategies

  • Real world understanding of how an international NGO conducts business in the U.S. and abroad

  • Event planning experience

  • Marketing strategy

  • Social Media Marketing

  • Direct impact on children living in a vulnerable community

  • Connecting with other students

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement a marketing campaign using social media, flyering and other tactics

  • Design and implement a fundraising campaign

  • Plan an event or a series of small events

  • Connect with local businesses,

  • Connect with campus clubs/teams/classes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for nonprofit work/activism

  • Passion for sports and/or music

  • Willingness to learn and grow  

  • Must be motivated, organized and possess good communication skills

 

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

  • At this juncture, everyone working for ISMP is an unpaid volunteer doing this because of our belief in the impact we can create for vulnerable children.

  • This is an unpaid internship for the fall semester from Sept 1st – Dec 15th

  • 4-6 hours of remote work per week
