Digital Marketing Analyst

Position: Digital Marketing Analyst

Type: Volunteer, Part-Time Core Team Role



We are looking for a Digital Marketing utility player to become a key part of the ISMP team. Our ideal Digital Marketing Analyst will be motivated to grow ISMP’s following and reach across all channels and educate the organization on best practices.

This is a volunteer position.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the in-house digital marketing expert for ISMP

  • Help craft, set and execute ISMP’s marketing strategy

  • Identify and track relevant KPIs for Facebook, Instagram, web and email marketing

  • Utilize analytics to develop regular reports and make recommendations to improve content and marketing strategy

  • Create, execute and track campaigns to grow ISMP’s social media followers, email subscribers and website traffic

  • Help drive social media engagement

  • Assess performance of any paid media campaigns

  • Manage Google AdWords and SEO

  • Help produce marketing collateral

  • Conduct audience surveys

  • Utilize A/B testing


  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field

  • Some marketing experience required

  • Ability to analyze and use data to inform marketing decisions

  • Experience analyzing social media performance data

  • Working knowledge of all primary social media platforms

  • Knowledge of Google Adwords

  • Experience with Email Marketing

  • Familiarity with Acquisition Marketing

  • Experience with web analytics and marketing tools

  • Basic HTML and CSS a plus

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to dedicate 5-8 hours per week on ISMP and commit to 2-3 team calls per month


Grant Writer

Position: Grant Writer

Type: Volunteer, Part-Time Development Team Role



Responsible for writing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant-funded projects.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.

  • Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.

  • Work with Development Team to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs.

  • Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.

  • Develop understanding of institutional history and programs.

  • Make appointments for Executive Director and Development Director with foundation officers and other prospects.

  • Maintain current records in database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting.

  • Track statistics relevant to development and provide department with written materials necessary for donor stewardship (visitor number and diversity, educational program attendance, etc).

  • Provide development input for all written institutional materials (including Annual Report, Member magazine).

  • Assist with other fundraising projects as requested.



  • Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals

  • Strong editing skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of fundraising information sources.

  • Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors

  • Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies

  • Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.

  • Previous experience with non-profit fundraising.

  • Previous experience researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals.

  • Experience working in deadline-driven environments.

  • Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Social Media Coordinator

Position: Social Media Coordinator

Type: Volunteer, Part-Time Core Team Role



  • Take ownership of ISMP Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts

  • Grow our audience across the three platforms

  • Create campaigns around our current programs and partnerships

  • Create small pieces of content to accompany posts

  • Utilize tools to automate social posts and track engagement

  • Create and manage a social content calendar

  • Research studies and statistics that show the positive impact of sports and music participation


  • A degree in Journalism, Marketing, PR, Communication, or a related field preferred

  • Must be able to work independently, taking ownership of assignments and seeking creative solutions

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills required

  • Proficiency in Adobe or other graphic design software preferred

  • A demonstrated interest in sports, music, and/or philanthropy preferred

  • A willingness to dedicate at least 6 hours of work per week
